1. I think it's hard for Melinda to tell people her problem because she is a shamed of it.
2. Yes if i knew something was wrong, but if i did't know i don't think i wouldn't because she sounds scary and depressing.
3. Yes, because if people knew about it you would have to explain it to everyone or if no one knew you would have to hide it.
I agree with your first and second answer; she is ashamed of it and thats why she cant tell anyone.
